She began her career at ABC11 in Durham, NC, became a freelancer in the Research Triangle Park area, became Media Technician for the NC Agency for Public Telecommunications in Raleigh, and became TV Studio Manager | Emerging Media Specialist | Instructor at NC Central University in Durham, NC. As a principal stakeholder in the 2018 renovation of the NCCU TV Studio, Felecia researched and led the AV integration of state-of-the-art digital equipment.

Satire Takes Honors at C-47 Film Festival
“Feel Free in Carrboro” is a satire about a New Yorker’s transplant to an idyllic North Carolina town. Producers were assigned a genre, line of dialogue, a prop, and an iconic landmark on Friday evening and then given 47 hours to ideate, script, film, edit, and submit a 4-7 minute film. The short film won first place in the Satire/Absurd Genre at the 2018 C-47 Carrboro Film Festival. Required elements: Carrboro landmark, stuffed animal.
