Satire Takes Honors at C-47 Film Festival

Feel Free in Carrboro” is a satire about a New Yorker’s transplant to an idyllic North Carolina town. Producers were assigned a genre, line of dialogue, a prop, and an iconic landmark on Friday evening and then given 47 hours to ideate, script, film, edit, and submit a 4-7 minute film. The short film won first place in the Satire/Absurd Genre at the 2018 C-47 Carrboro Film Festival. Required elements: Carrboro landmark, stuffed animal. Required dialogue: “There are no toll roads in Carrboro.” Felecia Casey-Hicks | Felecia’s Media produced, directed, shot, and edited “Feel Free in Carrboro.”
